A Tribute to the Brave
Mt Brave is a tribute to the pioneering spirit of those who settled the rugged terrain of Mount Veeder during the 1800s and an homage to the Wappo Indians, "the brave ones," who were the original inhabitants of this extraordinary place.
Exceptional Altitude Vineyards
The Mt Brave Vineyard, formerly known as Chateau Potelle Vineyard, was established decades ago at altitudes between 1,400 and 1,800 feet. While Mount Veeder is naturally cool, Mt Brave is strategically located above the fog line, with the morning sun warming the grapes every day.
Unique Mountain Terroir
The combination of high altitude, ideal sun exposure, and volcanic soils creates perfect conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon of exceptional character. The grapes develop firm yet elegant tannins, with intense flavor concentration.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby color wine, with intense aromas of black fruits (cassis, blackberry), cedar, spices, and hints of chocolate. On the palate, it reveals a powerful yet elegant structure, firm and silky tannins, with a long and persistent finish that reflects the altitude and unique terroir.
