Cru Vigna Margheria - Unique Terroir

The Vigna Margheria vineyard is located in Serralunga d'Alba, one of the most prestigious areas of Barolo. This cru is known for producing wines of great refinement and elegance, with the characteristic austere character of Serralunga. The soils are composed of calcareous marls that impart minerality and structure to the wine.

Historic Massolino Winery

Massolino is a family winery founded in 1896, with over a century of tradition in producing excellent Barolo. The property owns some of the best vineyards in Serralunga d'Alba, recognized for their ability to produce wines of great longevity and complexity.

Refined Sensory Profile

The Barolo Margheria 2019 is very refined and elegant, yet classically austere. It displays aromas of bright red fruits, wild flowers, mint, blood orange, rose petals, and cinnamon. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with firm tannins that will soften with time, excellent acidity, and a long and persistent finish. A very beautiful and nuanced Barolo that will improve even more in a few years.

2019 Vintage - Classic Year

The 2019 vintage in Piedmont is considered a classic vintage, characterized by balanced climatic conditions that allowed for optimal ripening of the Nebbiolo grapes, resulting in wines of great elegance, structure, and aging potential.

Aging Potential

This Barolo has enormous aging potential, able to evolve magnificently for 20-30 years under proper storage conditions. It is recommended to wait a few years to fully appreciate its complexity.
