Sassicaia is the wine that revolutionized Italian viticulture and created the legend of Super Tuscans. This 2000 vintage represents a historical milestone, combining the tradition of Tenuta San Guido with one of the best harvests of the early 21st century.

Winemaking Process:

The wine began its aging period in early November. It remained for 22 months in French oak barrels, 1/3 new, after which the wine was bottled at the end of October 2002. This careful process resulted in a wine of great complexity and elegance.

With over 20 years of evolution, this Sassicaia presents complex aromas of ripe dark fruit, tobacco, leather, spices, cedar, and earthy notes. On the palate, it is elegant and refined, with silky, perfectly integrated tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish.
