Sassicaia is the wine that revolutionized Italian viticulture and created the Super Tuscan category. Produced by Tenuta San Guido since 1968, this wine combines Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes grown in the unique soils of Bolgheri.

The 2018 Vintage:

Once malolactic fermentation was complete, the wine was aged for 24 months in French oak barrels and a small part in American oak. This vintage benefited from ideal climatic conditions, resulting in a wine of great structure and elegance.

Sensory Profile:

Intense aromas of ripe dark fruit, cassis, spices, cedar, and mineral notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish with hints of chocolate and spice.
