Vieux Château Mazerat Red Grand Cru Wine 2016, 0.75

Located to the east of Angelus and bordering Canon, the 2016 Vieux Château Mazerat is composed of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc, aged in 80% new oak. Intense notes of blackcurrant, smoke and barbecue, along with hints of meat, liquorice and spice, emerge from this rich, full-bodied and fleshy offering. It displays great underlying minerality, with notes of charcoal and chalky minerality, building tannins and a long finish.
