In November 1998, the Symington family proposed to Bruno Prats that he participate in a new project, which consisted of producing a great unfortified wine in the Douro. This came to fruition in 1999, with the creation of PRATS & SYMINGTON Limitada as an equal partnership between the two families. Some experimental vinifications in that first year allowed them to define and choose the best plots and the most suitable grape varieties for the project.
